This unbelievably luxurious vintage cape/ stole is made up of 14 separate Minks, with dark brown velvet in the folds. It has a covered corded snap closer and typically, the heads are there as well. This is so soft and luxurious, you could picture any glamour star from the past in this at a cocktail party! It is not lined underneath, but the underbellies of the furs line it. It feels perfect on bare shoulders.
This stole belonged to Sonja Loew, a Czech who married theater magnate E. M. Loew and was fabulous for her generosity, outrageous outfits, and indecipherable accent. She is sitting next to Zsa Zsa Gabor in this photo. You can bet she went a few places in this stole!
